CollingtonPresents Series Launch

On Saturday, October 10th, 2020, the Collington community launched their first production and broadcast of their new series, CollingtonPresents. The presentation received many accolades from residents and those who attended.

Their first program featured Dr. Bud Gardiner sharing his advice on how to endure, survive, and possibly thrive through this continuing COVID pandemic. Dr. Gardiner practiced internal medicine and directed pulmonary function laboratories in Philadelphia hospitals.

He then worked in community and public health at the federal level. After then becoming a psychiatrist, he practiced and taught as a psychiatrist for 30 years. As Associate Dean and university Associate Provost at Drexel University College of Medicine, he implemented numerous programs that brought many minority students in to health careers.

In his presentation, Dr. Gardiner picks some of what he feels are the most important and salient aspects to remember. He shares findings from a recent study conducted of 65 and older adults to see how they have handled things. He also discusses how potential side effects of medications (both prescription and over the counter) along with dietary preparation, could impact how respond and handle situations.
