Well, this has been an interesting summer for sure. And even though it has been a unique experience full of uncertainty, closings and openings (kind of), re-imaginings of how we do basically everything, creativeness and ingenuity, it sure flew by and it’s hard to believe we’re welcoming fall.

Fall begins with the Autumnal Equinox, Tuesday, September 22, 2020, 9:31 a.m. We greet the fall season with the arrival of the fall equinox. This is the moment when the Sun crosses the Equator, and those of us living in the Northern Hemisphere will begin to see more darkness than daylight.

Here are a few suggestions on some ways you can keep your summer going for a little bit longer, or at least end it with a fun activity or two:

  • Have a Bonfire
  • Go to an Outdoor Movie or Play
  • Catch a Sunrise and a Sunset
  • Eat ice cream for dinner
  • Go on a picnic
  • Have a water fight
  • Tie-dye T-shirts
  • Make s’mores
  • Preserve your favorite summer fruit
  • Make a scrapbook
  • Turn Your Daily Walk Into a Scavenger Hunt
  • Forage and Become a Botanist

Here are a few printable worksheets to help keep that summertime feeling alive.
