October 15, 2019 —A feature story titled “Why boomers are retiring to college” posted April 29 on the PBS Newshour website profiles eight “university-based retirement communities,” including three Kendal communities: Kendal at Hanover, Kendal at Oberlin and Kendal at Ithaca. UBRCs are defined as “retirement communities that have a formal or informal relationship to a nearby university, and as a result, offer their residents academic benefits that others cannot.” Click here to read the story.
