Kendal Charitable Funds Corporate Partner Appeal 2024- Seeking Contributions

Thanks in large part to support from our Corporate partners, Kendal Charitable Funds, and the work we do together, is having a real impact.

The commitment and investment partners have shown to changing the lives of so many is important and will continue to be critical in the future. In today’s world, where the aging population is growing at a rate faster than we have ever experienced, we must all double down on our efforts to advance Kendal’s mission of “Together, transforming the experience of aging.” Truly, we are redefining it.

Yet, before we address the growing need for a renewed commitment to addressing the challenges facing all of us, let’s take a moment to recognize the recent successes Kendal Charitable Funds has achieved:

Successes: KCF and Grantee Achievements

  • In 2022, we announced the Affiliate Grant process and its mission to advance diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) as it relates to workforce challenges. Throughout 2023 and into 2024, many of the Affiliates embarked on creative approaches, which marked an evolution in their goals around DEIB and workforce.
  • Academy of Hope Adult Public Charter School, the 2022 Promising Innovation Grantee, is devoting its funding to support its Healthcare Career Pathways program, which includes Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training, for a 24-month grant period from January 2023 to December 2024. Academy of Hope’s program prepares CNA graduates for jobs in the healthcare field, as well as the field of senior living and aging services, where CNAs become focused on serving the older adult population.
  • Across the Kendal System, individual Affiliates walked in support of the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s by either joining their local chapter event or hosting their own walk on their campus. Kendal Charitable Funds was pleased to provide some matching funds of the total amount raised across the Kendal System to recognize and support these efforts.

The Kendal Charitable Funds team thanks our sponsors and partners for their investment of time and financial contributions to support these programs. We are making a difference! At the same time, we can and must do more. Now, we are counting on additional individuals and organizations to help us reach our goals in 2024 as we look to expand our outreach and support to more who will benefit from our programs.
