For more than 50 years, The Kendal Corporation (TKC) has believed in the power of community to transform the experience of aging. That work has never been about following a market. It has been about listening closely, questioning what everyone assumes to be true, and giving voice to everyone at the table. When we set out to create this quarterly publication, we wanted a name that reflected exactly that spirit. In the Quaker tradition, a ‘leading’ is a sense of where you feel called to go, a conviction that pulls you forward even before the whole path is clear. It felt like the right word for who we are and where we are headed.
Kendal Leadings is our invitation to think alongside us, and bring more voices into the conversation. Each quarter, we will share the trends we see shaping the future of senior living, the expertise our leaders have built across decades of practice, and the ways Kendal shows up in the national conversation. Some of what you read will be practical. Some will challenge the way our industry has always done things. All of it comes from a community that believes aging is not a problem to be managed but an opportunity to be embraced.
