April 3, 2023 —The Kendal Corporation proudly announces its financial commitment to The Vision Centre. The Vision Centre is committed to solving the issue of future leadership in the senior living field. Moreover, Vision Centre aims to help grow these programs with strategic partnerships to help expand educational opportunities and create awareness of the workforce development challenges facing the aging-services sector.
Goal: Grow Future Leaders
The Vision Centre aims to create 25 robust university and college programs designed to prepare future generations of leaders for aging-adult service organizations. It aims to facilitate 1,000 paid internships from these programs among senior housing, care, and aging services by 2025.
Kendal’s commitment of $75,000 over three years will allow the Vision Centre to continue developing important initiatives resulting in long-term societal implications for the profession, senior care and service organizations, and the university landscape. With their strategic collaboration and support, Vision Centre can move forward in making its vision a reality.
Partnerships Will Drive Effort
The Kendal Corporation and Vision Centre are aligned in their dedication to meeting the needs of the labor force through quality education and leadership training. To further support the partnership, Steve Bailey, the Chief Strategy Officer for The Kendal Corporation, has joined the Vision Centre’s Advisory Council, where he will contribute his extensive experience in the aging services field. With courage, commitment, and follow-through, The Advisory Council will shape the future of senior living education and senior care administration together.
