June 3, 2025 —The Kendal Corporation is happy to announce that Deborah (Deb) McCardell has been appointed as the Senior Director of Human Resources, effective July 7.
Deb brings over 26 years of professional experience, including more than 17 years in HR leadership. She comes to TKC from Kendal at Ithaca, a Kendal Affiliate in New York, where she served as Director of Human Resources and earned widespread recognition for her ability to create positive work environments and drive meaningful changes. Deb has also been assisting TKC as an Interim Director of HR for several months.
An Army veteran, Deb previously served as the HR Director of the William George Agency for Children’s Services.

Deb has developed a deep passion for enhancing the employee experience and supporting older adults.

At Kendal, Deb will oversee strategic HR efforts, including talent acquisition, employee engagement and performance management for The Kendal Corporation and across the Kendal System, which includes 10 affiliate organizations nationwide. Her leadership will be pivotal as TKC continues to advance the employee experience at Kendal and attract people to work in the field of aging.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Deb is a passionate golf enthusiast and a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles.
