Kendal at Hanover Names Beth Vettori Executive Director

March 1, 2018, HANOVER, N.H. —Kendal at Hanover has announced that Beth M. Vettori has been selected as its new Executive Director. Vettori will join Kendal April 9 after serving as the Executive Director of Rockridge Retirement Community in Northampton, Mass., since 2007.  She was recently promoted to the role of Senior Executive Director for Rockridge and Deaconess Abundant Life Communities.

“It is with great pleasure that we introduce Beth to our Kendal at Hanover family,” said Anne Page, Chair of the Board of Directors. “She brings a wealth of experience from within the retirement community setting as well as civic engagement in the broader community. The Search Committee felt an immediate connection with Beth and her affinity for our Values and Practices.”

As Executive Director at Rockridge, Vettori provided focused leadership to a staff of over 90 employees and worked closely with over 140 residents in Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Support Assisted Living, and Residential Care. She fostered a culture of engagement, growth and vision while overseeing the full operations of the community. Vettori was critical in a multi-million dollar expansion from 2015 to 2017 at Rockridge, where she conducted fundraising initiatives and established goals and operational improvements consistent with current and future community objectives related to its strategic plan. She joins Kendal at Hanover following the retirement of Rebecca A. Smith, who had held the position since 2005.

“Kendal at Hanover is a unique and very impressive Continuing Care Retirement Community that is part of a well-respected Kendal System that I have enjoyed learning from for many years now,” said Vettori. “When I visited Kendal at Hanover in December, I not only was able to immediately see why Kendal is a leader in our field, but I also took an instant liking to the charm and character of the Upper Valley.”

From 2004 to 2007, Vettori served as Rockridge’s Assistant Executive Director and was a director at Orchard Valley at Wilbraham (Mass.), an Assisted Living community. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Springfield College. Her accomplishments include serving on the national LeadingAge Academy’s Alumni Board of Directors from 2014 to 2017, graduating from the LeadingAge Academy Fellows program in 2013, receiving the LeadingAge Massachusetts 2010 Emerging Leader Award, being named to the BusinessWest Class of 2011 “Forty Under 40,” serving as faculty member at E.L.D.E.R. – Lasell College for management training certification program, and serving as a member of the Massachusetts Executive Office of Elder Affairs Assisted Living Advisory Council. She has held positions with many civic organizations, including: It Takes a Community Foundation, SAGE Western Massachusetts, Steph’s Wild Ride and MassMAP (Mutual Aid Plan).

Vettori and her husband, Craig, are looking forward to relocating to the Upper Valley with their two children, Taylor and Carter.
