October 2, 2026 —Deborah (Deb) McCardell, Senior Director of Human Resources at The Kendal Corporation, recently participated in a webinar with Senior Housing News focused on how senior living organizations are adapting staffing strategies to meet industry and resident needs.
Deb spoke about Kendal’s approach to recruitment, training and retention, which includes flexibility in scheduling, career growth opportunities and employee surveys.
She explains that by training and building employees from the start and following workforce data, Kendal can identify patterns, improve onboarding, support managers and identify areas where to invest in additional training before turnover occurs.
