May 10, 2017—Town of Hanover voters yesterday approved by substantial margins two zoning changes needed to allow Kendal at Hanover to move forward with plans for a moderate expansion of the community. The plans call for the renovation of its 85-bed health center and the addition of 30 to 40 independent living residences along the Connecticut River. The new residences may include 16 duplexed cottages and two 12-unit hybrid apartment buildings.
The two zoning amendments lifting some restrictions on senior housing development in Hanover “carried handily,” according to an article posted online late yesterday and updated at 2:45 a.m. today by the Valley News, based in Lebanon, New Hampshire.
