New Beginnings: The Kendal Experience              Request A Free Copy

The story of Kendal told by those who live, work, and serve to create communities and services for older people. The film takes you inside real Kendal homes, workplaces, board meetings, and community meetings.

This new DVD was filmed during 2005-06 at 13 Kendal affiliates and The Kendal Corporation. The “cast” of real Kendal people explains how Kendal is governed, what it is like to live and work at Kendal, the ways in which residents shape the life of each community, and how Kendal’s Quaker heritage finds expression every day as “a devotion to the fulfillment of life’s potential.”

Kendal’s published Values and Standards states “...retirement and growing older can usher in new opportunities for growth and development, even if emerging limitations or infirmities necessitate a degree of dependency.” Learn how this philosophy of respect and growth finds fulfillment in the lives of real people.

We hope you experience the Kendal spirit on this DVD and that you enjoying meeting Kendal residents, board members, and staff. Read about the February premier.

19 minutes, a Visionaries production.
