From Kendal at Ithaca: We (residents and staff) enjoyed seeing the other Kendal communities and knowing we are part of something bigger. Since the clips from a particular Kendal were spread throughout, our attention was held. There were squeals of delight and laughs when someone familiar appeared on screen.

From Kendal at Oberlin: Residents were enthusiastic and pleased. Of course whenever they saw a Kendal at Oberlin resident there were sounds of delight. One of our residents who is a retired media professional felt that it was professionally done and accomplished all the goals that it set out to do! Other comments included: "I appreciated the fact that it highlighted our Quaker values"; "It was nice to see such good looking residents WITHOUT make-up!"; "I was pleased to see staff interaction with residents"; "The child day care footage was very good".

From Lathrop Communities: Our Premiers were a huge success! Residents, board members & staff thoroughly enjoyed the DVD! We had fun food, punch and champagne following each premiere! I put the boxes of popcorn on each seat and residents really enjoyed that too! THANKS KENDAL! Residents were enthralled... Very interested and absorbed. Many cheers and clapping when Lathrop residents were shown. Ooohs and Aaaahs... The bubble scene with the day care children was a favorite moment. "Makes you want to live at one of these places, I'm glad I do!" "Such warmth is conveyed." "Seems all Kendals have great staff, this is one of the most appealing things about Lathrop, I have always loved the staff here!"

Kendal at Granville: We had a wonderful party - enjoyed great food and fellowship following the premiere of the DVD. Participants responded with cheers, applause, and knowing chuckles when Kendal at Granville was shown without grass and with backhoes. There were also some tears - especially over the comments of our friend Peg. Other comments: from a housekeeping employee, "I hope you will show this at orientation - it shows the big picture." From residents: "You have hit a slam dunk with this!" "It shows real people with real experiences." "This is what living here is all about!"
