Kendal at Granville Awarded Grant to Study Feasibility of Walking and Bicycling Path
Kendal at Granville has been awarded a grant for $10,000 from Kendal Charitable Funds to implement an engineering survey that will examine the feasibility of constructing a one-mile bike and pedestrian path. This path will connect Kendal at Granville to the T.J. Evans Path at Granville’s Wildwood Park providing equal access from Granville to the newly acquired Licking County Land Conservancy at Spring Valley. In addition, matching funds are being sought from The Granville Foundation, The Licking County Foundation, The Evans Foundation, Granville Township Trustees, Denison University, and individuals. Sunny Days Ahead for Residents of Kendal at Lexington’s Borden Health Center
The Cabell Foundation is pleased to announce that a challenge grant for $40,000 has been awarded to construct a sunroom and enhanced lobby for Kendal at Lexington’s Benjamin Borden Health Center. In keeping with Kendal at Lexington’s legacy of giving, matching funds will be raised one-to-one with new gifts pledged after November 15th, 2007. READ MORE.

Barclay Friends to Study Improving Home Based Services in the Greater West Chester Area
Kendal Charitable Funds approved a grant in the amount of $9,000 for Barclay Friends to conduct a feasibility study regarding home and community based services provision in greater West Chester. Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) can reduce older adults’ concern about changes as they age. HCBS allows older adults to remain in the security of their own homes with the support of new technology. Rapidly changing technology is creating tools to make HCBS more practical in today’s society.
